Today we read and analyzed another poem by Robert Frost. This poem was called “Nothing Gold Can Stay” and it was an interesting poem. This poem taught us that when things die, new things form. I didn’t really have a connection with this poem. I thought it was an interesting and boring poem at the same time. It was really short. Today’s class was kind of cut a little bit because we had a fire drill.
Today in class, we had a student teacher. Her name was Ms. Cook. We read a poem about dreams and discussed it. The poem we read was called “HARLEM” by Langston Hughes. After we read and annotated the poem, we did an activity. We had to write down our dreams on a cut out heart and describe how we would get there. Today’s class was really fun and I enjoyed it.
